What are your shipping options?

We offer a range of shipping options to suit your needs:

  • Royal Mail Tracked 48 (UK only): Free for orders over £20 (after discounts).
  • Some equipment lines are fulfilled by partners and shipping options will vary, these will always be shown at checkout.

Where do you ship?

Currently, we ship to addresses within the UK only.

How much does shipping cost?

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout and depend on the weight of your order and your chosen shipping method. Orders over £20 qualify for free Royal Mail Tracked 48 shipping.

How long does it take to ship my order?

Your order will be roasted* and dispatched the next working day (Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays). Here's a general idea of shipping times once your order is dispatched: Royal Mail 48: 2-3 business days.

* sometimes we will supply coffee roasted a number of days before your order, never more than a week.

Can I track my order?

Absolutely! Once your order is shipped, you'll receive a tracking number via email. You can use this number to track your parcel's progress on the Royal Mail or Parcelforce website.

What if I'm not home when my order arrives?

If you're not in, the courier will usually attempt to leave your parcel with a neighbor or in a safe place. They'll also leave a card with further instructions on how to retrieve your delivery.

What happens if my order arrives damaged?

We take great care in packaging your coffee, but accidents can happen. If your order arrives damaged, please contact our customer service team immediately, and we'll do our best to resolve the issue.

Can I change my shipping address after I've placed my order?

Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to change your shipping address. We'll do our best to accommodate your request if the order hasn't already been shipped.

Do you offer international shipping?

Not at this time, but we hope to expand our shipping options in the future.

Ordering

How do I place an order on Kota Coffee?

Ordering your specialty coffee is easy! Simply browse our selection of beans, choose your desired quantity and grind (if applicable), and add them to your cart. Then, proceed to checkout, enter your shipping and payment information, and confirm your order. You'll receive an order confirmation email shortly after.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit and debit cards, including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Maestro. We also offer secure payment through PayPal and Apple Pay for your convenience.

Can I change or cancel my order after I've placed it?

We work quickly to roast and dispatch your orders, so it's best to contact us immediately if you need to make any changes. We'll do our best to accommodate your request if the order hasn't already been processed.

Do you offer gift wrapping or gift messages?

While we don't offer traditional gift wrapping, we do have Coffee Gift Boxes which make excellent presents. We also offer Gift Subscriptions so your loved ones can enjoy a regular delivery of freshly roasted coffee. Currently, we don't have an option to add a gift message.

Is there a minimum order quantity?

Nope! You can order as little or as much coffee as you like.

What if an item I want is out of stock?

We strive to keep our inventory updated, but occasionally some coffees may be temporarily out of stock due to high demand. If this happens, you can sign up for email notifications to be alerted when the item is back in stock.

Can I order coffee for my business?

Absolutely! We offer wholesale options for cafes, restaurants, and shops. You can find more information about our wholesale program here.

A coffee subscription is the most convenient way to ensure you never run out of freshly roasted specialty coffee. Choose your favorite beans, select your preferred grind and quantity, and we'll deliver them straight to your door on a schedule that suits you.

How do I manage my coffee subscription?

You can easily manage your subscription through your Kota Coffee account. From there, you can:

  • Change your coffee selection

  • Skip a delivery

When will my subscription be processed and shipped?

For product subscriptions, your subscription will renew on the schedule you choose and will be shipped the next working day on a Royal Mail 48 service.

For our 'discovery' subscriptions, these are processed and shipped in the first week of each month. If you place your order in the last 14 days of the month, your first delivery will be in the following month.

Can I change the coffee in my subscription?

Absolutely! You can change your coffee selection at any time through your account settings.

What if I need to skip a delivery?

No problem! You can skip an upcoming delivery through your account settings. This won't affect your regular subscription schedule.

Can I cancel my subscription?

Yes, you can cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. There are no cancellation fees or penalties.

What is the difference between Arabica and Robusta coffee beans?

What is the best way to store coffee beans?

To keep your coffee beans fresh and flavorful, store them in an airtight container in a cool, dark place. Avoid exposure to heat, light, and moisture. It's best to buy whole beans and grind them just before brewing.

How long does coffee stay fresh?

Roasted coffee beans are best consumed within a few weeks of their roast date. Ground coffee has a shorter shelf life, ideally used within a week or two.

What is 'bloom' in coffee brewing?

The bloom is the initial stage of brewing when hot water is poured over coffee grounds. It causes the grounds to release trapped gases, resulting in a more even extraction and enhanced flavor.

How much caffeine is in coffee?
